yeah, they had just started a new thing where compost is separated from the trash, so compost and recycling go out weekly but regular trash is every other week.
I wish I had curbside recycling and compost. I grew up in Ann Arbor, MI which had all that, but as soon as I moved out, I have never lived somewhere with curbside recycling. It has been a real pain in the ass since I still try to be earth friendly. It is easy enough to make a backyard compost heap, but I have to put all the recycling in large garbage bags and then drive them to a drop off spot. What happens is that bags pile up in the trunk of the car or all over the kitchen until I remember to drive there.
yeah, i remember not having curbside recycling when i was a kid, and we’d fill the minivan with garbage bags full of cans and bring them to the recycling place. we’d make a few bucks off of it, but it’s so much more convenient to have them pick it up.
They pick up only every two weeks and not weekly?
