That is the problem. You cannot destroy the Sun without destroying the Earth.
Sunburn is caused by overexposure to ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet radiation is usually filtered filtered out of the ozone in the Earth atmosphere. Ozone is especially three oxygen atoms bonded together. All you would have to is create a series of large machines that produce this molecular bond an releases it into the atmosphere. Just make sure that it releases into the stratosphere, because low level ozone can create smog. Also make sure to buy some vitamin D pills.
Another solution is to move to another world further from the sun. Saturn’s moon Titan is very simular appearance to Earth in size, atmosphere and surface (Titan has great mountains, valleys, plains, sand dunes, as well as large bodies of lakes and seas of stable liquid). I do not know how well Titan’s atmosphere of nitrogen, methane and ethane is at filtering out ultraviolet light or if it even has ozone. It is, however, about eight hundred million miles further away from the Sun than Earth. I figure being further away will decrease your exposure rates.
Or you could just wear some sun screen if you are going to be outside for longer than 15 minutes.
Haha…uh oh! Stay away from the dark side!

the problem is i wasn’t outside when i got burnt, i was in the car. i’ll consider the rest of your suggestions though.
OH NO!!! the dreaded one armed car window sunburn! I hate that.
the very same.
i used to get those a lot driving home from malibu. 27 miles of scenic coastline with the late afternoon sun aiming right at my window the whole time.
yeah… this was the three hour drive to seattle…
stupid seattle!
