boo hiss. kick-ass will definitely be better than any old michael cerra flick. i bet you thought year-one was better than the dark knight didn’t you?

i’ve never seen year one, but i’ve seen dark knight multiple times. i’ve never read kick-ass (i’m waiting for the collection to come out in soft cover) but i’ve read every volume of scott pilgrim that has been released so far at least once, most of them multiple times. kick-ass looks amazing, but scott pilgrim may as well have been written with me in mind.

As far as story goes, Kick-Ass is kinda violence for the sake of violence. I think Scott Pilgrim is a little more of a developed and interesting character (this is from reading one volume of Scott Pilgrim and all of Kick-Ass). Honestly, I can see how Kick-Ass would be entertaining, but I’m not sure how they’re gonna make it into a good film.

scott pilgrim was amazing. and i agree about it being tailor made for cool/geeky/music/comic/video game types. and it’s done really, really well too.

someone in the group said this and i’m gonna keep repeating it because it’s true…scott pilgrim is like kill bill and juno all rolled up into one.
